What Happens at Your First Visit?
During your initial visit, we will explain your diagnosis and treatment options after an initial exam. If minor treatments or a check-up are necessary, they can be completed during the initial visit. However, complex cases may require an evaluation and a second appointment for treatment.
Information We Need at Your First Appointment:
- A referral slip
- X-rays
- A list of medications you take
- Completed medical or dental insurance forms, if applicable, to expedite claims processing
FAQ and Important Information:
If the patient is under 18, they must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at the initial consult.
If you have a medical condition that affects surgery or treatment, please inform our office. This could include conditions such as high blood pressure or diabetes. Inform us of any medications you take before treatment begins or if you require medication before dental cleanings (e.g., antibiotics for pre-medication).
If your previous dentist or other doctor has taken x-rays within 6 months, you can forward them to our office. If time permits, please pick them up and bring them with you. Additional films can be taken at our facility if necessary.
